Bella Kelly is a classically-trained violinist. She has been playing since she was nine years old. She has played in a wide variety of ensembles including orchestras, jazz bands, a marching band, choirs, and a rock band. Most notably, she performed in the 2017-2018 ILMEA All-State Orchestra, the 2017 Birch Creek Summer Symphony, and was a soloist at the Bordeaux branch of the Alliance Française for La fête de la musique in 2019. As of now, she is undeclared in her major, but she plans on studying professional music with concentrations in violin performance, songwriting, and composition.
Bella has been teaching since 2016 doing private lessons. She also has experience interning for an elementary school summer orchestra program where she taught private lessons, sectionals, and chamber groups.
“After three years of exploration and fine-tuning my teaching skills, I have realized that nothing is more fulfilling that being a stepping stone in a child’s experience with music. Watching their gradual progress and finding the teaching methods that work with each individual student is incredibly rewarding. Teaching has truly become one of my favorite ways to share music with others.”
