All of our mentors go through a selective hiring process in which their past work experiences, musical proficiency, and ability to productively interact with children are assessed.

Getting the right instrument for your child

One of the most important elements of starting music lessons is having the right instrument. Oftentimes, children will enter their first lesson with an instrument that is an inadequate size or is set up poorly, therefore rendering it unplayable. This can lead to frustration, low self-esteem and discomfort, resulting in the child losing self-confidence regarding their abilities. In order to avoid unnecessary instrument roadblocks often encountered by students who are beginners, we have compiled a list of affordable and quality beginner instruments for our new member to either rent or purchase.

For beginners, we believe it is a wiser choice to rent an instrument instead of buying one. Children can outgrow instruments in size very quickly, therefore resulting in the need for a new one. Many instrument stores offer rentals so we strongly recommend you check with your music store to save you both time and money!

Besides instruments, there are some products we recommend students use during music lessons in order to enhance their learning experience as well as prompt student engagement.
